Shravasti Ray

Webmaster and Part of Anatomy Fashion Show Eboard

Shravasti joined Phi Delta Epsilon in her Sophomore year and is excited to serve as the Webmaster and a part of the Anatomy Fashion Show. Shravasti is a Teaching Assistant for BIOMG 2800 as well as  member of the Science Olympiad at Cornell. This semester, she will be conducting research at the Lazzaro Lab. In her free time she likes to paint, read books, and spend time with friends and family.

Sean McCabe

Logistics Rush Chair

College: Human Ecology
Major: Human Biology
Hometown: Pearl River, NY

Sean McCabe joined PhiDE the fall semester of his sophomore year and is very excited to now serve as the Logistics Rush Chair. He has thoroughly enjoyed his experience with recruitment in the past, and is grateful for his opportunity to have an impact on the process of finding passionate new members for this community. Outside of PhiDE, Sean is involved on campus as a Resident Advisor for Low Rise 6 on North Campus. Sean is also an Undergraduate TA for BIOG 1500, a popular introductory biology lab course. His passion for medicine has been fueled by his past clinical experiences at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. In his free time, Sean enjoys hanging out with his friends, hiking, listening to music, and watching Seinfeld.

Maria Tollock

Marketing Rush Chair

College: Human Ecology
Major: Nutritional Sciences
Hometown: New York, NY

Maria joined Phi Delta Epsilon in her freshman year and is excited to serve as the Marketing Rush Chair. Outside of PhiDE, Maria is a peer research mentor for CURB, a Big Red Student Ambassador, involved in the American Cancer Society, and a COVID-19 Peer Ambassador. This semester, she will be conducting research in the Levitsky Nutritional Sciences Lab and the Mehta Global Health Research Group, as well as working as a Hospital Aide at Cayuga Medical Center. Off campus, Maria has volunteered for the Molecular Cytology Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and shadowed a hematologist-oncologist, and is currently tutoring for the SAT and ACT. In her free time, Maria enjoys playing tennis and lacrosse, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with friends.

Cassie Wojtasiewicz

Philanthropy Chair

Hometown: Fayetteville, NY

Cassie is a sophomore in the College of Human Ecology. She joined PhiDE in Fall 2020 and has been grateful for the incredible people she has met and the experiences she has had so far. Throughout high school, Cassie volunteered at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital and as Philanthropy Chair, she is excited to create opportunities for PhiDE and community members to participate in philanthropy events. Cassie spends a lot of her time at Cayuga Heights Fire Department, where she volunteers as an EMT and learns new skills so that one day she can serve the Ithaca community as an exterior firefighter. Cassie also volunteers for ACEing Autism, where she helps children with autism develop their tennis skills in a fun and welcoming environment. In her free time, Cassie enjoys exploring the outdoors with friends, learning a new piece of music on the piano, and trying new recipes.

Lili Steel is a sophomore in CALS studying Biology and Nutrition with a minor in Global Health. She joined PhiDE in the Spring of 2020. Lili is stoked to be the service chair this semester for PhiDE. Service is a passion of hers and during a largely virtual time she is excited to expand our service opportunities and connect with the Ithaca community.

David Rusakow

David is an aspiring physician writer and a third-year biological sciences major. On campus, he serves as co-president of Pre-Medical Minority Mentorship program, writes for the Cornell Healthcare Review, volunteers for Friends of Farmworkers, and directs events for Cornell Hip Hop Heads. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, reading, and hiking.

Aleah joined Phi Delta Epsilon in Fall of 2019. She is thankful for all the mentorship she has received from her peers. As the Diversity and Inclusion Chair, Aleah hopes to create a healthy environment for all members despite their background or social identity. Outside of Phi Delta Epsilon, Aleah is a TA for BioEE1780 and a research assistant for the PIP lab. She also serves as the secretary for the Curly Hair Initiative. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball and sleeping!

A short bio: Grace originally joined PhiDE as a freshman at UC Davis, and later transferred to the NY Lambda chapter in Fall 2020. She has found a supportive and welcoming community in Phi Delta Epsilon, and is excited to continue her involvement here as PR chair. Outside of the fraternity, Grace is an undergraduate TA for BIOG 1445, a research assistant at the UC Davis Psychopathology and Emotion Processing Lab, and hospital aide at the Cayuga Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing piano, and setting off her fire alarm while learning how to cook.

Nasra Ismail junior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She joined Phi Delta Epsilon in the fall of 2020. As an incoming transfer student, the community and support she found in Phi Delta Epsilon have made navigating Cornell as a pre-med effortless. Her on-campus involvement includes being the co-founder and vice president of PAMSA, she is a research intern in the FIG lab and a CURT scholar. She is excited to serve as the Diversity and Inclusions co-chair. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to crime podcasts, and discovering new restaurants in the area.

Mike Norinskiy

Mike is a sophomore who joined PhiDE last semester and is excited to serve as the Programming Chair this semester! Since joining PhiDE, Mike has made so many friends and has gained a community of people who will support him no matter what. He serves as the Hall President for the Ecology House where he gets to meet other people who love the environment and plants as much as he goes. Mike is also teaching assistant for Chem 2070, and does research in the Abbasov Lab. Outside of school, he loves cooking, hiking, and bubble tea!

Outside of PhiDE, she serves as the Vice President of the Cornell Democrats and is part of a mentorship program for Ithaca-area youth. She spent her summers working as a resident assistant for an academic summer program called the St. Albans School of Public Service and conducting clinical research in ophthalmology with a group at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. In her free time, she enjoys reading, doing OrangeTheory workouts, and listening to Taylor Swift.

Outside of PhiDE, he serves as the Social/PR Chair for E.Motion -- Cornell’s K-pop dance group -- and is part of Therapy Thru Music at Cornell. During his free time, he loves to hang out with friends, bake cakes, paint, and play the clarinet or the recorder if he is too tired to get his clarinet out

One of my favorite parts about PhiDE is our newly fostered partnership with Southern Tier AIDS Program (STAP). Each week we volunteer at their clinic in downtown Ithaca to support their syringe services program. I love having the opportunity to engage with our local community, and spend meaningful time with my brothers!
